Best Beaches on Koh Rong

Koh Rong is truly a beautiful island with paradise beaches and barely a soul on them. Most people stay at the main pier, known as Koh Touch, which might explain why the other beaches are so quiet. I would advise against staying at the main pier, unless you want to party, as it’s famous for its nightly pub-crawl where most don’t make it to the finish line. If you’re in search of white sand beaches, clear turquoise waters and privacy, then look no further than these three paradises.

Long Beach
Long beach is hands down the most beautiful beach on the island. It has the clearest waters and whitest sands and the most extraordinary thing is that you’ll have the beach all to yourself. To put things into perspective, I was on the island in peak season and arrived at the beach around midday and there was not one person in sight. It makes you wonder why anyone would stay at the main pier at all.

Coconut Beach
On the other side of the island lies the idyllic Coconut Beach. The waters which lap against the shore are nearly as clear as those in the Maldives and glisten like diamonds under the sun. With only one accommodation option, you’ll find barely another soul in sight.

4K Beach
Misleading in its name, 4K Beach is in fact 2 kilometers long, but it’s still 2 kilometers of clear waters and white sands. 4K Beach is the closest beach to the main pier so there are a few more people around, but it’s still surprisingly quiet.
