City Breaks

Al fresco

Paris surprised us with the most beautiful day today. We left the house in jumpers and jackets and Paris conformed to its usual unpredictability in what started off at as a white blanket covering the sky soon lifted to reveal the bluest of skies. Of lately I’ve been trying to favour random little cafes over the all too dependable choice of Starbucks. I know I shouldn’t even be considering such an enormous American franchise whilst in Paris, but embarrassing as it is to admit, I have a slight addiction to their chai tea lattes and find myself constantly craving one of these comforting hot drinks. Nonetheless lately I’ve strictly forbidden myself from even entering a Starbucks, consequently I’ve stumbled across some much more interesting cafes which I would never have come across otherwise. This time we just so happened to pop into a little cafe off the Marais where we sat outside and watched the world go by over wine and coffee.

Oh so pretty! Where was this? I have the same issue myself, and I’ve being going out of my way to keep trying new cafes in Paris — here’s my most up to date list so far in case you’re looking for a new one to try! http://threadandbones.com/?p=6837
There’s nothing better than finding a cozy environment to sip some coffee and watch Paris go by. Sometimes I think if I sit long enough I’ll see the entire world eventually move through Paris.

I don’t remember the name of the cafe it was on one of the streets between the Marais & Hotel de Ville. Ahh thank you so much I will make sure to check it out. Yes it’s honestly been a million times nicer we’ve found some really great cafes, particularly vegan and organic ones :)
I couldn’t agree with you more!
