Beautiful Barcelona

When I think back to Barcelona, the first thing that springs to mind is vivid colour. From the brightly tiled mosaics to the never-ending lines of multi-coloured fruit juices at the market, Barcelona is undeniably a beautifully vibrant city. It’s impossible to see this city without noticing the astounding architecture on every street, just riding the bus we were mesmerised by the buildings above.

Whilst we didn’t have nearly enough time to see everything we wanted, here are just a few things not to be missed:

– The Passeig de Gràcia, the equivalent of the Champs-Élysées is home to a couple of Gaudi’s architectural wonders as well as countless high-end shops whose buildings look more like hotels than boutiques.

– Being a fruit addict, la Boqueria was most probably the highlight of my day. Stacks of fresh fruit and smoothies in every variety fill the market making it a dream come true for me. I managed to consume a total of four smoothies as well as countless fruit pots on one particular day.

– The much anticipated Park Güell fulfilled every expectation that I had of it prior to visiting. The best way to while away an afternoon would be to wander this park, not only for the incredible views over the city but for the unmissable mosaic work as well.

We were just in Barcelona, too- amazing, amazing, amazing. I think Park Guell, or Montjuic, was my favorite. Did you try the zumo at the markets? If you’re a fruit addict, you’d have loved it! x

Love all your shots of La Boqueria – I visited Barcelona a few years ago and had so much fun photographing that market.

Oooh how I love Barcelona. Two of my good friends are from (and currently live) there, so I go as much as possible and they always take me to the local hot stops. So so lovely.

Wow you’re so lucky – yes I have a friend living there at the minute and she gave us the most useful recommendations I really don’t think our trip would have been complete without her help
