City Breaks

Itinerary for a Perfect Day in Central London

London is a sprawling metropolis which makes it nearly impossible to write a walking tour to the whole city. With this in mind, I’ve broken it up into Central, West & East London. Here is your guide on how to spend a perfect day exploring Central London.

Green Park
Just opposite the road you’ll find beautiful Green Park which is one of the city’s Royal Parks. Take the scenic route from Buckingham Palace to Westminster by strolling through this pretty park and its tree-lined pathways.

Covent Garden
No day in Central London is complete without visiting everyone’s favourite Covent Garden. This outdoor market is buzzing with chic boutiques and cute cafes. Favourite pit stops include macarons at Laduree, vegan burgers at By Chloe and everything avocado at London’s very first avocado-only restaurant.

Liberty London
The department store of all department stores, Liberty has become a London institution. The pretty blooms out the front are probably some of the most photographed flowers in London. Inside you’ll find upmarket designers and luxury British goods in a Tudor-revival interior.

Curators Coffee Gallery
If you’re anything like me you’ll be suffering from that mid-afternoon lull, meaning it’s time for a well-earned coffee stop. Oxford Circus
If you up for some more shopping, step out onto Oxford Circus and explore the great British Highstreet making a beeline for Topshop. If you’re shopped out, this is still an iconic place to visit, if only to watch the stream of red London buses drive down Oxford Street.
