Macaron Day

Today marks the beginning of Spring, but whats equally exciting is that the 20th March also represents Macaron Day. In honour of this delightful treat patisseries all over Paris are offering a macaron or two in exchange for a donation to charity. The ingenious Pierre Hermé is the mastermind behind the idea therefore every one of his boutiques in Paris will be participating. A few of my favourites who are also taking part include Sadaharu Aoki and Jean-Paul Hévin. Isn’t it such a sweet idea? Spring looks like it will be off to a sweet start for all of us.
