Mauritius Travel Diary
Mauritius had long been a dream holiday destination for me. It differs from other Indian Ocean paradises in that it offers visitors more than just a beach. Its thickly forested interior lies in stark contrast to its icing sugar coastline. Inland there are cascading waterfalls and rugged gorges and on the beach azure waters lap gently against the shore. The two feel worlds apart from each other. Adventurers should climb le Morne mountain for breathtaking views over the multi-blued reef and hike through the dense Black River Gorges National Park for rugged natural beauty.
