Whilst some people despise the winter, I for one love the change of seasons and the diversity that each one brings. In winter I find pleasure in bundling up in a myriad of layers so that only my face is exposed to the cold. There is something refreshing about filling your lungs with icy cold air which forces you to breathe clearly again. I’ve even come to love the white blanket of clouds which can cover the sky for days on end. The other morning I woke up a little early to go on one of my photography walks. I say walks yet I never get very far as I’m always distracted trying to capture all the magic that I see around me. Time seems to fly when I’m behind the lens often resulting in a late arrival on my part. This time I headed to Place Vendôme, a beautiful square lined with some of the most luxurious jewelry boutiques and home to the Ritz. It’s looking more magical than ever lately with all the Christmas decorations and the pop-up carousel courtesy of the Marquis de Ladurée.
