About

With an insatiable case of wanderlust, never calling one
place home, I work as a photographer, travel writer and
social media consultant all over the world.

A Francophile at heart, I had long dreamed of living in France. In a twist of fate I moved to Paris to study my degree at the University of London in Paris and lived and loved in the city for three blissful years. Of all the cities I’ve visited, Paris remains closest to my heart. I would spend my days in art galleries, picnicking along the banks of the Seine, getting lost down cobbled back streets and taking day trips to nearby castles.

Since then, I have spent time exploring every corner of Europe, from the fairytale landscape of Cappadocia to the rugged coves and turquoise waters of Croatia.

Now I’m on the road again destined for foreign continents with an antipodean desire to explore further afield. I have tried the 9 to 5 for a couple of years, but my feet are too restless, my mind too flighty and my dreams too big, so I am bound for adventure once more.

If there is one thing I hope this website inspires in you, it is to travel. Keep your head in the clouds and your feet on the ground. There is a wonderful quote in an Education “Actions, character, my English teacher says, I think it means that if we never did anything, we wouldn’t be anybody.” For we are nothing but the experiences we make and the stories we share. So go forth, travel, explore the world and collect stories along the way. If you need me, I’ll be with you every step of the way.

Hello there! Oh there are too many wonderful places in this city! I’ve included just a few of my favourites in the Paris guide although not nearly as many as I should have done! I hope you’re loving every moment in Paris

Hi Faye! I think I saw you about…5, 6 weeks ago in Paris! I didn’t realize that it might have been you until just now. It was in Montmartre, and you were taking photos of the le Cépage Montmartrois …was that you? It was after sunset. Anyway, beautiful photos and blog!

Faye says:

Hi Amber I actually don’t think that was me, I’ve been up to Montmartre taking photos a couple of times over the past month but I’d actually never heard of that restaurant until I googled it! Maybe we’ll bump into each other on the streets of Paris another day

hi love! another question for you – – do you know of any gluten free bakeries in paris?

Farfelue says:

October 9, 2014 at 7:35 pm

Yes I do! Helmut Newcake is a must for gluten free desserts! They are so pretty and taste so good. I believe a second of his patisseries has just opened around La Madeleine although I haven’t been to that one just yet – also I believe Cafe Pinson offers gluten free options – I think a lot of the recently opened trendy cafes should have GF options – hope this helps!

Hi Miss Faye,

I found you through Miss Kim Jones! I was going through her blog, which I absolutely love! :-)
Like Kim, you are truly talented Miss Faye and I just love the way you take your pictures and the way you see life through your camera lens! It really resonates in me, as if I am back there again..:-) I also love your website design – so elegant, classy and chic! Just my taste ;-)

I absolutely love Paris!! My husband and I had our honeymoon there a few years ago and literally fell in love with everything! Who wouldn’t? :-) Anyway, my absolute fave is our stay in Montmartre – what an AMAZING place! Instead of staying at the touristy hot spots in the city, we opted to stay and experience the ‘local’ way of living, and so we stayed there (which is in Sacre Cour right or is that in a different area altogether? Sorry, I’ve forgotten!) and what an unforgettable experience! It’s as if we stepped back in time and found a piece of heaven that’s been kept a secret for many years. And that’s hard to say because everywhere you look in Paris feels like that, and you feel as if you have stepped on to a movie set! Just so pretty and romantic :-) So, we are planning a trip there sometime next year and already getting excited especially when I view yours and miss jones’ pics ..:-) :-) Hope to meet or bump into you :-)

I am starting my own blog, I hope to get more inspiration from you and your amazing work..I have no idea where to start! Any advice or tips please? :-)

Sorry my message is so long! :-)

Take care..Have a blessed day!

Hi Girly,

I’m a big fan of your amazing work and your photos are fabulous.

I’ve been travelling for a while but never thought of setting up a website to publish my pictures. Your work is a big inspiration to me.

I’m a real novice to this subject so just wondering how you save your travel pictures to web without losing quality, with small size?

Regards,
Anjalee
