Koh Phi Phi
Koh Phi Phi is a bit of a paradox for me. The natural beauty of the island is utterly breathtaking, yet the atmosphere on the island is less than desirable. Located in a national park, the island is made up of towering limestone karts and aquamarine bays. I think some of the most beautiful photographs that I took in Thailand, were taken on Koh Phi Phi. Yet along the main pier, where most of the accommodation is based, the atmosphere is seedy with countless tattoo parlours and bars lining the rubbish-scattered streets. I would recommend getting off the beaten track and trekking through the jungle to secluded bays and unspoilt beaches. Head to viewpoints 1, 2 and 3 and from there hike to Phak Nam Bay and Rantee Bay where you’ll pass breathtaking views en route.
